East Oakland DREAMers is premiering its first film: (In) visible + (Un) told! This film was made possible through the Bay Area Inspire Awards and Philanthropic Ventures Foundation, which fund socially conscious projects every year. As a nonprofit, EOD provides programming to support the migrant community in the Bay, including internships, academic support, Know Your Rights workshops, scholarships, and emergency funds for legal and housing needs. This is our first foray into film-making, and we are so excited to present a narrative that challenges the mainstream media’s portrayal of our diverse and resilient migrant communities! The film will premiere at a fundraising event held in collaboration with 67 Sueños. Please mark your calendars to come through Friday June 7th, from 5-7 pm @ 1721 Broadway #201 – we will also feature live performances, vendors, food, and a panel of youth presenters!
